Questions

What is a seat?

A license covers a number of servers (seats, default 1). Every server of a cluster takes a seat. More seats or a higher tier can be bought in the license portal.

How does the trial work?

Register with your company e-mail address and confirm it. You then get one 7-day trial license with all Pro features for one server — once per company e-mail domain. Addresses at free-mail providers get one trial per address.

What happens without a valid license?

The server keeps running — web UI, API, configuration and inputs — but serves no viewers and no outputs until a valid license is entered. It never crashes or restart-loops because of the license.

Does the server need internet access?

Licensed servers renew a lease with the license portal every hour; a lease is valid for 72 hours, so short outages do not matter. For sites without internet we issue offline licenses on request, bound to the servers’ fingerprints.

What does the server send to Alteox?

An hourly heartbeat with the installation id, version, license status, channel and node counts, OS, CPU cores, GPU models, host name and public URL. Details are in the privacy policy.

Do you work with resellers?

Yes. A reseller account manages sub-accounts for its customers, assigns licenses and seats to them and sees their servers.
